play poker games

Do you play poker games? If so, you've probably seen all kinds of players, from the madman who like to bluff, to sit the rocks there and wait for the nuts. One thing is certain, the rock never much and the lunatic is on the losing end in the long run. Unless you're extremely conservative, you do not want to be, either. Whether you're playing live poker or online poker tournaments and games, there is only one way to win long term, and the tight-aggressive.

If you play tight aggressive, you are establishing a table image of patience and well chosen aggression. Other players will notice this and respect you. Establishing this reputation you will be money in the long term. How? If everyone always thinks you have a monster as you, then you will bet you move into a position to move some bad bluffs. That means you have to stick to show how much more disciplined than not your cards. It may be tempting to show your cards after a big bluff, but it will only cost you money at the end of the road. Do not do it.

Another key to succeeding in Poker, and devising a strategy that works, is to recognize where you are with AK, AQ and AJ. Let's look at AQ and AJ first. If there is a big raise before you, then you must assume either that player is likely a bigger ace, a couple or a connection. In two of three cases, you are far back. The right play is to fold here. If action is to first raise pre-flop and see where everyone else is on. Basically, you call a big raise with these hands pre-flop. If you are, how much money you won or lost with AQ and AJ, as it increased a great pre-flop charge, you'd be down.

AK is a different story. AK is a major aspect of any poker game, and can often determine whether you are a winner or loser. It is a very difficult hand in the sense that you are not too conservative or too aggressive. For example, if three bets before the flop, fold you. Otherwise, raise big to suck-outs to avoid. Also, you should limp in occasionally to keep your opponent confused.

Keep these basics to improve your odds.
